Creative Artist
Angelica Chavarria is a vibrant artist and designer originally from Mexico City, now thriving in New Orleans for over 17 years. Drawing inspiration from the unique character of both cities, she artfully blends traditional techniques with innovative solutions. Her creations showcase practical designs infused with warm, fun and colorful art, reflecting her rich cultural heritage and spirit.
Embracing the joy and artistic freedom of New Orleans, she created the "Lamp Post Girl Costume", which has become a beloved staple of Mardi Gras day for the last 10 years.
She named her Art Studio after the nickname given to her by the Mardi Gras crowd.
